Private Pesticide Applicator Certification and Licensing http://www.nj.gov/dep/enforcement/pcp/bpo-apprivate.htm, which outlines the requirements for certification and licensing to become a Private Pesticide Applicator in your state. Information on recertification (which is required every 5 years) is also provided. Forest landowners wishing to apply either general OR restricted use pesticides on their property must be licensed as a Private Pesticide Applicator. If you use only general use pesticides on your property, you are exempt from certification and licensing if you meet the following requirement: producing an agricultural commodity or commodities with gross annual receipts of less than $2,500.
