Q: As an inspector, how often do I need to complete an inspection or take a refresher training course to stay active?
A: After completing the initial 4-hour classroom ATFS Inspector training, an inspector must complete at least one inspection or take a refresher course (such as the online refresher modules available on the ATFS Database) every two years in order to remain active. This rolling renewal process will then extend the Inspector’s credentials for another two years upon completion of each inspection until the implementation of the revised ATFS Standards of Sustainability in 2020. Thus, an Inspector’s credentials will not extend beyond March 15, 2020.
